BRIEF undertook an endline evaluation and impact study of 47 projects sanctioned during 2011-12 as part of PMKSY-WDC covering 7 districts namely Panchkula, Ambala, Mohindergarh, Yamunanagar, Rewari, Hisar and Bhiwani. The goal of this assessment was to evaluate the projects’ impact on the productive potential of rainfed/degraded land through integrated watershed management; to strengthen community based local institutions for promotion of livelihoods & watershed sustainability, and to improve the efficiency of watershed projects through cross learning and incentive mechanism.
