Swati Verma, Research Associate

Swati, a M.Sc. Economics graduate specializing in International Trade, brings a practical understanding of the international trade regime. During her tenure as a short-term Consultant at The World Bank, she played a key role in the “Corridors for Economic Empowerment” project, focusing on Nepal-Bhutan-Bangladesh North-South Corridor. Swati led field surveys across India and collaborated with counterparts in Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal, contributing to comprehensive project reports.

Swati has a track record of contributing to publications covering international trade and connectivity. She possesses additional skills in Advanced Excel, R Programming, and familiarity with tools like E-Views and Tableau.

At BRIEF, she is a part of the Project Monitoring Unit at the Logistics Division, DPIIT. In this role, she leverages her expertise to work on issues, particularly focusing on logistics, contributing to the division’s overarching goals of enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in the logistics sector
