The objective of the study was to assess the achievements of Primary education program on improvement of education of disadvantaged children through strengthening of infrastructure and providing academic support in terms of enrollment, retention, drop-out rates and pass percentage, educational infrastructure and stakeholder engagement process – participation and also examine the extent of improving the quality of the different aspects of primary education program across Munger district in Bihar.
The activities undertaken by BRIEF team to accomplish the study objectives include assessment of the sample SCLs, government primary schools, Anganwadis from selected block and village at Munger district of Bihar and prepare a holistic report considering the following:
1. The impact assessment of Primary education Program at Munger in State of Bihar
? Understand the primary Education Program in the Supplementary Learning Centres (SLC), Government schools and Anganwadi at Munger
? Gauge the impact of primary education among schools, teachers, parents and children
2. Field visit, data collection and supportive evaluation of the identified project schools based on the learning achievement indicators
3. Meeting with the teachers (instructor), officials of capacity building program to understand their role and efficiency
4. Assessment of learning support program to primary schools (Class 3-5) based on government program mission ?Gunvatta?
