										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>BRIEF undertook the study commissioned by D&#038;B in the Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh.The objective of this study was to systematically portray and analyze the framework of maize value chain in  Bemetara and nearby areas. Since the production and processing were two important activities in the maize value chain, all relevant stakeholders including farmers, traders, district official and maize processing units were interviewed. Further, the study report critically examined and analysed the economics of processing units in the region by assessing the cost and return aspects of these units (maize). The study also analyzed the efficiency and future potential of the processing units.</p>

The objective of this market study was to measure the business potential for Uotani Co. Ltd, Japan, in the state of Maharashtra. The focus of the study was to understand the farming and harvesting condition of sugarcane in the selected districts of the state. The study also focused on facilities and other benefits available from the government, machinery available to farmers, demand and supply side factors, key issues related to sugarcane farming, etc. In this context, demand in sugar mills and use of sugarcane harvester were studied to achieve the desired aim.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Bureau of Research on Industry &#038; Economic Fundamentals (BRIEF) in collaboration with Toyo Agricultural Machinery carried out a study named ?Feasibility Study on Joint Venture Project between Toyo Agricultural Machinery and Indian Strategic Partner for Potato Harvester? to gauge the demand and supply dynamics of agricultural machinery in  the state of Punjab.<br />
The objective of the study was to gauge the business potential for Toyo Agricultural Machinery, Japan (TAM) in the state of Punjab as well as assess the possibility of a joint venture with an Indian counterpart for ?Potato Harvester? (a product of TAM).  The study focused on the condition of potato farming in the state, facilities and other benefits available from the government, machinery available to farmers, demand and supply side factors, key issues related to potato farming, etc. The study also intended to understand the market dynamics through detailed analysis with the help potato growers, entailing an evaluation of the constraints and future potential as well as an assessment of the readiness to accept the product (harvester) ToyoNoki is planning to introduce in the Indian market.</p>
